driver side door handle

well i hav eha dot make a few post today iv jus tgot so many probs letting people abuse my truck slammin doors gettin mad and pullin up on the handles to hard ya high school lol. but ok on the driver side door the handle is broken form the peice that goe sin the door to connect to the handle and the part is 50 dollors and 80 dollors for labor but im pretty sure i could get this done myself if i bought the handle just gettin in the space is hard so any ideas guys i know iv asked alot but just lookin for help thansk guys

ps. iv tried to read the peice and drill a whole and ru a cable through it but it didnt work cant get a drill in there or form the out side
