About an hour ago some jackass broke my driver:bawling:

How do you get it out at the junkyard. I need this out tomorrow.

Also has power windows with the little window.

Well i dont have power windows, but when both of my windows got busted by some jackass the day i went on vacation i had to go get new windows.

If they are the same for the power ones. Take the inside door panel off. There are two little round plastic pieces that are on each eand of the window that attach it to the plastic guide. You have to take the rivets out of the little round things to make it so they detach from the guide. The pull the window out the top CAREFULLY. For the power window you will obliviously have something with the motor. I dont know about that but that is what i had to do for my manual windows. It was a PITA

are these like the rivets that are on the steering column the your just need vice grips to get off?

thanks for the quick response

Don't know about the rivets being the same as on column but I can tell you from experience that those windows are a pain to replace especially with the wing window option. Had my drivers side break out about a year and a half ago. You will have to unbolt the wing window assy from the door to get it out also. There may be a way to do it without doing that but if there is I couldn't figure it out. Good luck and be really carefull when you refasten the window back to the window guide at the bottom. That is how I broke mine, overtightening the replacement bolts I used when replacing the power window motor. Very little and I mean VERY LITTLE amount of pressure on them. Better to leave them slightly loose.

When i removed the windows from the parts truck i did not remove the wing window, but was extremely careful when pulling it out.

When i bought the windows i also found a Bronco II tire cover in pretty good condition that i wedged in between then face down so they thought it was a junk one :icon_rofl:

well i got the window out at the junkyard. I just prided the gap where the glass goes into the door. How the hell do your get the rivets off the mount that holds the window. I tried to get it with a wrench and it just spin.

So do I have to drill the old rivets out and replace them with both, I just can tighten the that much

Well when i got mine at the junk yard, one windows had bolts and one had rivets. We just took a pair of vice grips and pliers and just kept prying at them tilll the center popped out the back. They were a PITA :pissedoff:.

Just be really careful because the plastic is old and will break very very easily (i broke both of my tracks)

When i put them in i just used some small bolts with nylon lock nuts, dont snug them too tight or you might break the windows.

Yeah. I just cut the rivets of with a grinder and replaced the rivets with 1/4x1x20 bolts from lowes and used locking washers and just hand tightened them. Way easier than I thought it would be.

Great to hear man :icon_thumby:

Great info. Gonna be replacing both of my driver's side and passenger's side. They are both really scratched up from the window anti-rattle stuff that's on there now.

If you need pics click on manual window conversion in my sig and it will show how to take the windows out of there mounts

Awesome I will def bookmark it. I'm just worried about trying to take out the 2 rivets that hold the window in the window mount.
