Hello all,
This is my first post on here, cause the search didn't come up with what I wanted.

Anyways I have a vibration that happens at 60+ mph that wasn't there before I got new tires, I have ruled out the tires and wheels after 4 times getting balanced at two different places and had two replaced under warranty.
I have replaced the carrier bearing and the U joints, still an aggravating viberation. I believe that is could be a drive shaft balancing problem. It is not a consistent vibration. The only reason that I ask on here is that I am afriad of an axle or transmission. I am tried of throwing parts at it.

I have a 1996 Ranger Super Cab 2wd 3.0 with the 4r44e transmission with 141000 miles (I've had it for 11 years). I like to know if there is something that I could have over looked.
Thanks

Try this. It's a quick and dirty way to balance your driveshaft.

Mark off 4 equal sections with a maker or a crayon or something, something you can see, and number them.

Then get a hose clamp and put it around the driveshaft with the nut in the middle of the first section. Drive it. Then move the nut to the next section and so on. When you find the best setting, go with it. If there are two that are about the same, get a second hose clamp and put one nut in each good section.
