will i have a drive line problums with a 6" lift in my 97 ranger? i found one on ntwonline.com but they didnt say anyting about needing a longer driveline.

thanks for the one piece drive line, what could i get that out of? older ranger explorer? what about puting the carier baringon the bottom of the skidplate?

actually the one peice shaft is from a newer Ranger ( thinkin' 01 and newer, can't remember off hand )

for what ya pay at the JY for a one piece shaft, not worth the effort to mod the 2 piece ( plus there are fewer parts to maintain/ replace )

Hey you will have problems... Because I do. I have a 6" lift and the 2 piece shaft shakes like an SOB until 15 mph. Any 98+ super cab 4x4 ranger should work. I picked one up for just under 100 bones. Oh and try and get a steel one if you can.

'98-'00 steel shafts are the desirable ones, but any '98up SC shaft can work.

If you do get an aluminum one, you'll have to swap out your flanges

Honestly it will be just as much work to drop the bearing, and even if you do you still may get somw vibration.

Yeah, about a 30-40% reduction in vibration is about the best you can hope for just by lowering the bearing. The one-piece shaft will eliminate it 100%.
