hello to everyone. i'm a newbie and this is my first out of probably many posts.

i'm planning on drilling two holes in my front bumper to mount PIAA off-road lights. i want to prevent rust from quickly forming on the exposed metal in the holes. any ideas?? or maybe a better idea on mounting the lights?

one of my buddies has some of that spray on bedliner laying around and i was thinking of using that.

The lights are rubber-mounted, no? I wouldn't imagine too much water could get there once you get the lights tightened down, but I could be wrong.

i see you have an 01, if you dont want to drill into your bumper get some light tabs, thats what i have, just use your exisintg bumper bolts, take about 10 minutes to get on (the grille can be a PITA to get off soemtimes)
not really any good pics of them:

Me Too. Either use brackets like for mentioned, or if you drill, don't drill too big and use a rubber washer

or if you have touch up paint just wipe the inside of the hole with it

just brush touch something on there, I wouldn't go all out and use spray paint. Maybe just get a pint of rustoleum.

Is it a painted bumper or chrome? If it's chrome, put a piece of masking tape down first and drill through that, then either way, just brush touch something (paint) in there.

i just mounted the lights on my bumper this past weekend. i put some rustoleum inside the holes. after that dried, i put two rubber washers on the bolt so they contacted either side of the bumper. hopefully that will work!

Thanks to all who replied! You guys helped alot!
