Door lock moving

Ok here's one either my truck is haunted by my dad or hes trying to tell me something. Changed the serpentine belt now truck is harder to crank over and the door locks while cranking ........anyone ever seen this before or heard of it?

Thats a weird one.

Maybe you bumped a ground connection loose. Check the one on the radiator support near the driver side headlight.

I would check battery terminals, clean them

If voltage is dropping too low when starter motor is on it can cause electrical glitches like the door locks cycling
Would also explain the slow cranking speed.............low voltage

Battery should be 12.3v to 12.8v after sitting a few hours, 12.2v or less is a failed battery, 5/6 years old
Then voltage should stay above 9.8volts while cranking, it drops about 2.5v when cranking

After startup battery should read 14.0-14.8 volts, than means alternator is working

Thanks I'll check out the battery and check the ground. Battery might be 5 years old now that I think about it. But volt meter is usually around 12 when starting an 14 when running.

Pull the belt back off and make sure all the accessories spin freely. That's what got @PetroleumJunkie412 .

I think you mean 12v before starting, and yes, but during starting it should drop by 2volts but no lower than 9.8volts or there can be problems

So turned key on it was at 10 v. Cranking it drops to 7.3 -6.5 then once started shot up to 14.3 I'm thinking its going to be the battery

Question: How long has the truck been sitting? Reason I ask is that there are some accessories (ECU, radio) that draw power even while the truck isn't running. I've seen my own vehicles sit more than a month, and then the battery is dead, or near dead, but once it's charged up again, it's fine.

Before you replace the battery, try charging it.

Oh, one other thing: I see you're in New Jersey (your zip code). I'm pretty sure it freezes there, and stays frozen, for a couple of months in the winter. If the truck has been sitting over the winter with a dead battery, the battery froze, and it's done.

One way to tell that it's been frozen is that the case bulges.

Truck is my daily driver. So it's only sitting over night. The strange thing is it start doing this after I changed the serpentine belt.

New battery. Let's see what happens. Now I just have to figure out why it's leaning to one side. .
