Has anyone changed their door lock cylinders? About a month ago someone tried to rip off my 1990 XLT. They stuck a screwdriver in the drivers side door cylinder and bent it all to hell but weren't able steal the truck. Unfortunately the lock is now unusable. I need to get a new cylinder but LMC is out and I can't seem to find anyone that stocks a 1990. I can find earlier years and later years but nothing for my '90. Are the locks between 83-92 interchangable?

check autozone or oreilly. they usually have all that stuff stocked. if u can check the keys, most should be interchangable i believe. try checking at a junk yard for a comparison

Autozone did the trick! Thanks.

I do beleive that all ford door lock cylinders are the same form the early '70s till now (obviusly not the ones mounted inside the door handle, and you may have to swap the arm) and as long as you get one the same style (most are 'S', you can tell by the letter stamped into your key) you can take it to any Ford dealer or most locksmiths and have it re-tumbled to match your key.

But the easiest and cheapest way is to go to the wrecker's and just buy a pair of cylinders with key out of another '83-'92 Ranger
