Man rescued after getting car stuck in mud in Black Rock Desert

A man from Canada named George Sukhanov‎ got his Toyota stuck in wet playa mud in Pershing County. The sheriff’s office there says he told them he initially did not want to be rescued, but he eventually realized rescue was necessary, when he took to Facebook.

That type of mud, well most mud, lol, clogs the treads and you now have "slicks" so zero traction, not a ground clearance issue in this case

Some "HD" chains may have got you going again in this situation, surprised I didn't see rescue vehicles with chains on or maybe I missed it

I wonder if it is kinda bottomless crap. If that was my Raptor I would have wanted to turn my truck around and pull the right way. Same for the Toyota pickup. And they did not want the 4R helping, they dragged him in neutral from a great distance. I wonder if the three Jeeps and Dodge from the first trip had horror stories about getting off of a track and/or being too aggressive with tires spinning. That had to be a nightmare that night... I wish they had a camera crew with like the second group.
