Every generation since there were written records thinks the world is "going to hell in a hand basket", yet we are still here.
And the reason we are still here is that most people "play well with others", the ones that don't may come to power from time to time but they are removed from power, often at a high cost in human life and suffering, but ultimately they are removed from power.

Trump isn't any more honest than the next guy, he is just not very smart with what he says when the cameras or reporters are around, so not the kind of person I would want in a position where tact is one of the best traits to have.
Politics is the ability not always speak your mind when it is not in the best interest of your goal, which might be to get elected, or to serve the people who elected you.

Abraham Lincoln was a politician and an honest man, for the most part, lol, and he had a few good quotes:
"Tact is a ability to describe others as they see themselves"
“Do I not destroy my enemies when I make them my friends?”

And one of my favorites:
“My concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God's side, for God is always right.”
Just had to put that one in because I like it.

Trump has lots of Gray areas, the only one that is not gray is that he is not right for the job.
And if he is "speaking his mind" then I have to say it isn't a mind worth listening to

Politics is similar to poker in some ways, and as with poker honesty is NOT always the best policy, transparency, for only your cards at the table, might be honest but certainly not the best policy for that moment in time, assuming your goal is to be a good player in the game
From what I have read and seen I don't think Trump has the ability to be a good player in the game of politics.

"honest politician" is an oxymoron, a dictator can be an honest politician
"lying politician" is a given, we demand it, we will only elect someone who tells us the stories we want to hear(see quote about tact)

Point being we all learn to "lie" to get what we want, so you would think we wouldn't be so surprised when we are lied to by someone else to get what they want.

And if we are "assuming" the best liars get elected, then that applies to all countries, and if that's the case I want the best darn American liar there is representing the US at the table with other world leaders(liars), that ain't Trump.

The key job of government is to protect us from Foreign Countries, Corporate America and each other.I think Donald would make compromises to the masses for the sake of profit for corporates.The biggest flaw we have is we want a person to represent all people but the only way to get the job is through the pockets of big business.

I hear a lot of talk about not liking the choices we have for president.If we want better choices we as a people need to learn to respectfully disagree with policies and candidates.Most decent people would not want to be treated like our last few presidents for four to eight years.I think it makes us look stupid to the world to vote in candidates then talk stink constantly.

If Trump or Hillary gets elected, I am moving to someplace warm where the US has little influence. Basically, I am willing to get the front door out of dodge if either one of these morons gets elected.

Next week in Canada we are going to elect a new Queen. I'm not sure who I'm going to vote for, but Green rhymes with Queen and is a nice colour...

So everyone in the USA will be watching us closely and that event will affect the outcome of your erecting a new POTATOUS...main reason being is that whoever we elect will become good friends with all the candidates and secretly meet with them and slip them drugs...the one the Queen wants to win will get the good stuff that will stimulate the brain and mouth into the best speeches...

Oh, that too...but we also have to select between very close contenders sometimes...like when twins were born and heir to the throne...this happened thousands of years ago so nobody but me remembers...but it was a very close race and eventually we had to elect a pair of Queens and three Aces so it was kinda like a full house there at the Palace...

Still no ballroom in those genes...that's why we mostly have Queens...
