Dome light won't go off

The dome light in my 02 Ranger won't go off and the dash indicator says the door is a jar even when the doors are closed. Which door? Who knows as both are closed tight. This problem is intermittent as some time the dome light and dash indicator both go off. Where is the door switch anyway? Any thoughts? Thank you.

agree spray the door latch with some type of spray lube and just open and close the door a couple times. your dome light switch is back were the door catches. it's no longer a small push style by your hinges.

I had to take the door panels off of mine and on the inside of the latch it was a little L shaped piece. There's a security clip that holds it on just pop off and replace. Mine cost like 3 dollars a piece at the part store.
