I can’t figure out how to fasten the metal reflective piece over top of the plastic lightbulb housing ... screws don’t fasten it down... I can’t get it to clip on the housing... /:

I struggled with that as well, when I got my '97 Ranger it didn't have most of the dome light, and all of the junkyard ones I found were broken, even the one I installed but since it was the only one I found I had to figure out a way... If you look by the screws in the attached picture you will see zip ties. I took the assembly off and saw the two holes by the wire traces, then I drilled some holes near that on the reflector and sorta mirrored it then used some black UV stable zip ties to attach it. I fixed that about a year ago and it held together enough to take off the lens to take the picture a few minutes ago...

thanks brother good call. Will try that out.

No prob, zip ties, duct tape and WD 40 keep the world working!

The shift knob on this thing was LOOSE, as I did on the '90 a long time ago I just stuck a piece of duct tape over the shifter stub then forced the knob back on, that was over a year ago, still solid...

Of course I fix things better when I can, but on some things fixed is fixed! :)
