Doing work son.

Vanessa and I love going to salvage yards. It's sad looking at some of the vehicles that shouldn't be in there. For me, going to a salvage yard is like most people going to an animal shelter. I want to take them all home with me.

What really sucks is when you see Rangers that have perfectly good suspension lifts on them.

i know thats where i got my 6in skyjacker lift. off one in the yard 90 bucks brand new. cant complain. but im the same way working at one SUCKS i would rather by them not the owner haha.

When I lived in Ohio the local salvage yard used to put the cherry rides out front and sell you the whole car. Many times you could start them up and drive them away. Was really great if you needed a $500 ride or saw something you wanted to restore or turn into a project. I got a 1954 Plymouth for $125 that way that was missing the carb. They were so nice as to even let me go into the pull yard and take one off another car for free. I'll bet those days have gone the way of the dodo bird though.

Those days are in fact long gone. Today's pick & pull's will buy your junk vehicle for little to nothing, then sell the parts off of it at inflated non-guarantee prices and usually end up tripling their money at least in the process, most even charge you an access fee now.

Yes & no my yard pays the most around here. Because yes we sell the paets but it depends on the vechicle we bout a wrecked 05 silvrado for 1500 bucks. So not all pick & pull yards are a rip off.

what i really hate is that my local junkyard doesnt carry any vehicles older then 1994 any more... ill just have to expand my backyard junkyard... darn...
