I have to replace ALL the lines in my 96 4s4 with ABS. It'll be my first time doing brakes. I know I need the double flaring tool, what I am most concerned about is what size fitting do I need? Are the fittings on the master cyl diff from the rest? And I read in the chilton manual that there is a Vaccum box or something for the ABS that only the dealer can bleed with a "special tool"?? WTF is this and can I just bypass it? I don't have ABS anymore anyway cause I did a SAS. Thanks

Unless I'm mistaken (and it does happen from time to time) you will not only need the tooling to do "Double flare", but the european syle "Bubble flare" for the connections to the ABS pump.

My advise? if you are going to do this and you aren't well practiced
at making double flares and bulbble flares practice on some scrap tubing first.

And when you are doing it for real don't bother with plated steel line, spring the extra money for stainless steel line, that way you do the job ONCE

Summit sells the stainless line.
