im thinking of getting e3 plugs for my ranger but i dont know if they'll help any. its getting a full tuneup probably tomarrow.
The day that any kind of spark plugs really do improve performance and economy over ordinary plugs will be historic

bust out your history books then.
i saw those E3 plugs tested on trucks (or one of the like shows) a few months ago. using a crate engine hooked to an engine dyno, they did 6 pulls with time to cool between each run. 3 pulls with the leading platinum plug and 3 pulls with the E3's. the E3 plugs provided a consistant improvement in power (i dont recall the exact number...something in the range of 5-7 hp) and lowered BSFC considerably. meaning in this case, yes the provide more power with less fuel.
i know one series of tests doesnt prove anything...but a strong arguement none the less![]()
A duraspark system will produce more than enough juice for most street engines.

Well I have the Gm module not the pinto ignition just a vaccum advance distrubutor and a non computer controlled 2150 motorcraft carb, so I wasn't sure, plus I want the hoter spark to ignite cold fuel more than power purposes.
