I've seen posts here from Rumblegoat racing and was wondering if anyone else here does any form of racing?

not really, just mud racing when they got it locally, and at the track with some 33" a/t's LOL

i was doing bitd class 2000 but its expensive and short on cash right now and need to overhaul the trans before we switch to m.o.r.e. series of racing probably wont be back into racing till 09 series just so our team can get more practice and get a new pit crew together and new sponsors that pay more

I do street racing, but thats illegal, so legally i do minor drags, in my jetta well used too,

I drag race in the amateur class in my Trans Am. It's loads of fun, but with gas so high, it's roughly $60/night. It's bracket racing, so you can race anyone against anything. But it's loads of fun.

I also may do some mud racing at the same track this year, $ pending.

i raise mtn bikes up/down hill, i got an expensive one too, so i normally win. lol

Not as of yet. We actually moved my 98 mazda with the blown engine to my friend's race shop this weekend. We are going to start the full rebuild next weekend. Building a moderate prerunner build.....for now. Doing the whole long travel system and then dropping in a mustang drivetrain (302, t5, 8.8). Should be done by the end of summer if the sponsors come through. And since we don't have much baja/prerunner style racing on the east coast the trucking will be running in the NASA rally sport Modified 1 class. If all goes good the first race after testing will be Febuary.

I wanted to compile Rumblegoats posts in one area to keep people aware of their racing program. I just wanted to see if there was any justification for a new forum, or if I just needed to find an existing forum to organize info into.

well, i dont race trucks, unfortunatly... but on saturdays, im a crew member for my uncles asphalt modifieds, and two late models and one street stock. on some friday nights, me and the misses go to the drags for test and tune days (until my fox mustang is done). and on sundays i help my brother inlaw in motocross. although i rarely drive unless its at the drags.

A new section for racing would be fun. I'm see would could see more people than Rumblegoat Racing post up in there.

I know I'll be posting up pics and info of my race truck build up here soon. And keep updates on that.

and the modified.

my wife lost the memory card with all the other cars. but im sure i can take some this summer.
oh, and i forgot to add, there is a drunken soapbox derby at oswego speedway every year for the race of champions, this was my ride i made(thats real racing!)

mine is the black chopper, i was in the open class, my grampa's cheater bike was in the skid class, which had to be made out of a skid! he's a clever old man!

i race dirt track stock cars in the modified class, last year i raced motocross. iv raced high performance go carts and i drag snowmachines at a old air strip all the time if that counts.

I have been racing in SCCA for over 20 years. The only thing my Ranger does in it is tow, carry gear and provide sleeping quarters sometimes. I road race race an Austin Healey Sprite sports car at various tracks on the west coast and a few in the middle part of the country.
