Useta work on this...

I took the Ranger out to a Strip back in Missouri a couple times just for shits n giggles.

I'm looking to build my Ranger and get a Team put together, looking to start a serious Drag Racing team. With my Ranger as the main race truck :icon_thumby:

I race asphalt circle track with a Ranger. Check it out under "Show off your truck". 100% Ranger.

I built my truck to race it. It will run high 13's with no real tune to to it. With a little tuning I hope to see low 13's this year.

I like to do a little bracket racing. Nothing fancy, drive to the track, throw on some slicks, race all day, and drive home. I tried the dedicated race car thing, but it got to be too expensive and a PITA.

I gave autocrossing a try when I had my '65 Shelby Cobra replica. It was alot more fun than I thought it would be.

I drag race in the amateur class in my Trans Am. It's loads of fun, but with gas so high, it's roughly $60/night. It's bracket racing, so you can race anyone against anything. But it's loads of fun.

I also may do some mud racing at the same track this year, $ pending.

what was your 1/4 times in the TA and 400 Chevy? or pontiac?

Some of you guys should look more closely at desert racing. The Ranger platform is a great place to start and Ford has actually made it so you can win some money. Of course, we are always looking for people that would be willing to lend a hand in the dez. . .

check us out and post up on our board if you are interested. The Vegas to Reno race is the adventure of a lifetime from a race truck OR from the pits. . .

I don't race but been tring to locate the Ranger owner who road races his. Think he had some videos posted here of him at New Hamshire doing the road course.

I wanted to compile Rumblegoats posts in one area to keep people aware of their racing program. I just wanted to see if there was any justification for a new forum, or if I just needed to find an existing forum to organize info into.

I bet if you made a racers/weekend warrior section, and did not sale it out to any company like some of the other boards, you could get a joy full following over here.

It's always been a dream of mine to do a desert race but the cost of going back and forth from Ohio to the race, competing, eating, lodging and so forth would be way to much. If I lived in the area it would be different.

A little roadracing on the CBR's when I had them. Not this year though. Just doing trackdays and street riding.

Fly in to Vegas, we'll pick you up at the airport, you can sleep in our rooms and we'll drop you off at the airport in Reno.

All Poncho baby!!

Not 1/4, 1/8th mile.

Nearest 1/4 mile track: nearly 40 miles away.
Nearest 1/8 mile track: about 10:icon_thumby:.

For a bone stock Pontiac 400, never rebuilt, with a stock Q-jet carb, pushing a whopping (Est.) 220hp, and over 330 tq, it scoots the near 3,700 lb car to high 9's. Not quick, but respectable for a $500 car. It gets up to nearly 73 MPH though!

Somehow it still spins the slicks off the launch...
