looking at one and wondering if any of yall has owned/driven one and whats your experances with it

the one im looking at is a 90s(forget the year) 5 speed with teh 4 banger bodys pretty good shape insides good shape too just needs to get cleaned.

drove it in the lot and it fired up nice ran around pretty good cept i almost stalled it 3 times:icon_twisted: that dammed auto in my truck spoiled me my skills are rusty:annoyed:

My brother had one as a first car. Seemed decent but its still an ugly little car. Doesnt matter when it's fuel efficient though. I'd love a Festiva but them things aint cheap.

yeah the thing should get over 25 mpg im sure.

why is it seeming a festiva has a higher price then a geo metro in some places?

Perhaps it's a "sleeper", the GEO's have been popular for quite some time, they are wearing out, being worn out by the popularity, the festiva, probably more around in a better condition, be my guess!

I've known a few of them, the na versions were not bad and the turbo versions were quite a surprise, real sleeper. They tended to turn to rust fairly rapidly up here, the rear bumper being the first thing to fall off.

who measures 0-50mph? lol. they were probably hoping people would misread it and think it was 0-60. like most chrylers.... they are junk in the long run. but anything that saves gas is worth driving.

Whats with the 'Twin Stick' ????

Very end of the article, after the specs.

Edit - From Wiki

A 4-speed was standard, but it had an interesting "twin-stick" feature that had a high and a low range and could be used on all 4 gears, effectively making it an 8-speed transmission.

twin stick :icon_rofl:
i had one of those in the 80s. that little car was a blast on logging roads.
the twin stick allows you to, in a sense, to split the gears. kind of like a high range and a low range.
ive been keeping my eye out for one thats in decent shape just for a dd.
