or use your 4x4 as intended, rub marks and dent's are just mojo,,

:headbang:

I try not to trade paint with anything... it seems to me that beating the heck out of a truck just because "it was intended" to be used that way is a pretty wastefull pasttime. If you have a truck that is rusted out and had a rough life then whatever, but if it is a pristine rust free truck why waste it?

IMO if it was intended to be used that way, it would be made out of 1/2" plate.

meh, id prefer to have a decent body, and i try to keep it DECENT. but im not going to obsess over any dents, scratches, or faded paint. now i dont like rust thought! haha

rust sucks....but when i dent em,i don't leave 'em dented for long.it's a good excuse to try a new paint job.

that said,i don't try to dent 'em,but if it happens i don't cry about it.it's just part of the game.

Well, since I have no where to really wheel it, mine is more of a street truck, so yes, I worry about keeping it nice.

It's up there in years, needs some rust repair, and some fresh paint, but all that is coming once the mechanical build is done. That way if I do ding it while swinging the engine (not likely, but still possible) I'm not gonna be nearly as pissed about it.

I don't obsess over dings or mild scratches. Rust on the other hand can very easily and quickly get out of control with the amounts of salt on the roads up here. So I tend to leave mine oily.

And go after rust patches quickly. since body and bed steel is so thin.

mine looks good.. but up close there are dents and scratches.. it happens. its a 4 wheel drive. but i did do ALL the body work when i painted it and i'm not gonna beat it up on purpose.. but if it happens, it happens.

I'm primering mine, just to keep it one color. I'm like everyone else. I wanna keep it nice, but if it happens, it happens

I dont mind body damage at all, but then again its gunna be for trails only in a year or two

i really really really hate sheet metal.
:D

I was nearly dent free.... but tree pinstriped everywhere but the hood and roof panel. U.A. changed that for me, I now have a narrower box with a speed curved tailgate....

Its all part of the game...if you're wheeling it....expect it happen. No use getting excited about it if it does.

Exactly, now if someone else were to cause a dent or itty-bitty scratch on it I care. They of course say "Well, look at it. Why do you care?" Disrespect for people's property asshats, that's why.

on a street truck i would but a wheeler I'd whoop the crap out of it.

I like to get it dirty, but at the same time I am a polisher and detailer at a bodyshop, so every little tree branch rubbing on the paint makes me cringe..........And 15 year old paint is a bitch to polish scratches out of.
