Do you take a yearly vacation?

me and wife take a bunch of little vacations throughout the year. a few days here and there to go see family or friends. i took a week off for the beach last summer, i havent done that in a long time. i dont like it though, it goes by too fast and i only get 2 weeks a year right now. i can carry over, but i usually dont have enough to do so.

Me and the family head down to Florida to visit my mom and family a couple times a year. I'm self employed so I can make the time almost whenever I want.

We also get out on the Harley's quite a bit and also fishing, camping, local amusement parks etc.

I don't like beach vacations personally. Overrated, crowded, expensive, boring. The wife likes it though so I'm gonna sacrifice and take her and the kid down this year.

We went on vacation once a year....we always left Loo-z-anna because once you've seen everything here......anything interesting is a day's drive!

After returning from the war in Viet Nam I had to stay away from beaches and mountains for about 10 years because of flashbacks.


Then I got married.....once our two girls and boy were old enough and my flashbacks were mostly under control, we hit the beaches or Smokey Mountains once a year.....we even saved the pocket change to pay for gasoline and fast food.

The girls got married....then our son Blake 20 yrs. old was killed by an Illegal Mexican (I am tired of being Politically-Correct)......my wife and I haven't been on a real vacation since 9 years....just a weekend here and there/too sad to really have fun-I really need to take MY OWN ADVICE!!!!!!!

Moral of the story: If you're single take a vacation.....If you're married---sign a truce and take a vacation-LOL.....If you have kids (make yourself--LOL) take a vacation--and actually participate with your kids--they WILL remember---trust me!

Go to California first....while it's still there.....then scrape up enough money to see another place next year....even if you have to buy a tent and stay at a campground (which is a blast too).

Or even take a cou[ple days off to transport the TRS BANNER!!!!
