I Just bought a liquid filled fuel pressure gauge and I was told it was filled with a mixture of water and glycerin but he doesn't know the exact mixture percentages.my question is will this gauge freeze in cold temperatures down to single digits or below zero?I hate to install this thing and have to remove it because it froze this winter and it damages it.wondering if anyone has experience using these type of gauges in cold temperatures?

-40 degrees is pretty cold.curious if that temperature rating is water glycerin mixture or straight glycerin?

Apparently glycerin by itself isnt as good as water and glycerin mixed.
From the quick reading i did glycerin has a freeze temp of -18C

I'll have to look when i get to my unheated storage and look at my glycerin filled gauges. They were bought but not installed yet several years ago. They've been thru -45C. I dont recall seeing them cracked.

Let me know.its supposed to be single digits this weekend over here and below zero.the place I got gauge from couldn't give me a good answer besides assumptions on glycerin water mixture it may or may not have.
