I heard from a friend that all BIIs had 3.73s. is this true?

i have had a few with 3.45's and a couple with 3.73's

My '86 had 3.45's. Not sure about the '84.

There are a couple constants for gearing in the RBV world, most everything else is random. 4 cylinder 4x4s will have 4.10s and so will 2.9 auto 4x4 extended cabs. In B2s the 2.9 auto 4x4 got either 4.10 and supposedly 3.73 however I've only seen 4.10s and all the 4.10s had an LS as well. D35 B2s will not have 3.45 because the D35 does not have 3.45 gears, 5 speeds with D35s will most likely be 3.73s and again, 4.10s for the auto. Most manual B2s seem to have gotten 3.45s.

my 89 b2 is auto 4x4 with the 3.73's

86 with 345 89 with 373, 89 with 410 and a prototype x 90 with 355:icon_confused:

not even listed with 355 on anything i seen:dunno::dunno:

I've had a total of 8 BII's

Every single one had 3.73's.

However.....I have seen 4.10's and 3.45's in the junkyard

Mine came with 3.45s.

But it has 3.73s now.

4 bii's here, 3 2.8's, and 1 2.9, all manual all 3.73

My '87 had 3.45's. Hahns seems to have it about right though.

it may be the same here but on another forum there is a chart of which door codes mean which gears, and if it has an l/s or not
