DMV are theives!

i just bought an 83 ranger and the tags are 3 months old does anyone about how much it will cost me?

44.50 for my cars.I know I was paying 110$ for 10k GVRW truck plates when I owned my 3/4ton.

Yeah here in florida we havent had dmv fees go up since 89 or so, but we just got a 100% plus increases on a lot of things and 200% on some...

I just paid $116 until March for my Hoosier Veteran plate. Hellz yeah! Thank a veteran.

something else i think is ignorant, Off-road stickers for my atv and dirt bike sky rocketed in price, they used to be i think 8 bucks, went in to buy new stickers for the quad and dirt bike and it was 35 bucks a sticker!!! i'm like wtf??? how did it jump up that high? i know they arent maintaining the trails with all that money, so i left having only bought 1 sticker, needless to say i was a little bitter that day lol.

mine are 55 for the 150 and Frampton, 15 or so for the motorcycle, and 10 for the moped that i didnt renew. when i had the ranger it was 55. it was a 98 and then my mom bought a 99 sploder and it was 85. haha.

You have a moped? :icon_rofl: NO offence man. I had to do it...

Your in California, your state is bankrupted, get over it.

California is a JOKE, the taxes are INSANE, IMO I know of many people that buy OUT OF STATE to avoid the taxes. Illegals drive around and "hit and run" if they bump your truck, good luck.

The only thing I would go there for is the taco trucks...and listening to the "435" amateur repeater.

I must admit it is a very exciting place to live, desert, Gay district in San Fransisco, legal drug use, Illegal aliens, beaches, earthquakes, mountains, bike trails, taco trucks, technology, City of Maywood, Technology, insane house prices, ham radio operators, and the 405!

Cali isn't just full of gays and illegal Mexicans dude. LA and SF aren't the only cities in the state either. I grew up on a ranch in northern California (great area by the way) and new some folks from Mexico that were some of the nicest people I've ever met. They didn't throw out uneducated and ignorant statements. IE>>> alienating a whole state. There are states that I would rather not live in, but I would never make a statement like that, or judge by stereotype.

Dude, what I know is from people that actually live there! They know the problem first hand. Radio Tech buffs, actors(one actually worked on bay watch) and tech gurus maintaining communications equipment. I must not be more specific than that.

Ok I was on Baywatch ( no not Pamela ) I comunicate with Oilpatch across the radiowaves( about Pamela by the way ) , and my license plate says HOFF on it. Who could I be?:icon_confused:

I paid $45 for my Ford Contour plates and $55 for my Ranger plates. When I lived 1 county over it was an extra $10 on top of that. BTW I'm in Ohio

Well have YOU lived there? I have. Never saw a Ham radio! I know the problems first hand as well. Every state has its pros and its cons. I never understood why people say people are crazy for living there because of earthquakes.... It's safer then tornado alley or getting hit by a hurricane every year or two right?:icon_surprised:

By the way Oilpatch I love your avatar. I need to buy some of those signs for the shop. That's awesome!

California is a huge state with a lot of different communities and people. To narrow the entire place to one stereotype is incredibly narrow minded.

I would never leave my beloved tornado ally only seen 1 first hand, but it was amazing. People literally come out to watch them. If they get to close you can run to the cellar no big deal.

purchased truck '93 reg cab short box ranger in mar $375.00 bought it as a basket case. (non driveable) put her back together after having set for four years, cost me $175.00 to register and did not even get new plates.
