Hi Guys,

My name is Maggie and I need help removing a distributor on a Ford Ranger XLT 90, 2.9L. I can't seem to find any bolts that are holding it in place. Help

Ok finally found the bolt and got the distributor out.

Have a new question. There is a part that is connected from the bottom of the block to the oil filter. What is this part? I thought maybe a sending unit, but I looked up sending units and they are just little things. This is a large metal piece. Can anyone tell me what it is? Chilton's doesn't show it on the pictures.

Welcome to TRS Maggie...

It may be better to either post a pic with the question, or post it in the 2.9 forum...all kinds of knowledge and experience floating around there...just need to use the right spoon to scoop it out...

The filter housing?
