is this correct non feedback carb i need? Hard to find them in stock

I thought you were going to get the China carb? The one you picked out is a reman for $300+.

Here's the one I bought. It has the 1.14 venturi's.

The china carbs i dont think were 1.14 venturi so im just doing more research on what i can do.

It says it's 1.14 venturi in the description and it worked fine on my 2.8. But you have bought enough stuff from China I assume to realize the quality can be iffy sometimes. But you can't beat the price and it would give you something to work with. Parts from your original carb will fit on the China carb.

I put in the powervalve out of my old carb along with the top gasket. I did not give the China power valve a chance, so that was a little unfair, but the top gasket was cut a little off and it seeped fuel at one spot. I took it apart initially since I heard there can be metal shavings and stuff in the carb from manufacturing, but it looked clean.

Hello all - brand new here. I have an 85 BII that I’m looking to convert - same issue with no DSII distributors around so looking at the Powerspark option sold by Simonbbc.com (part CORE-D13_COL).

For those who have done this or know about it - is this a straight plug and play distributor ( with proper wiring) or do I need any other parts or adapters? I understand I can swap the stock carb or modify it, but aside from that are there any other parts I need?

thank you for indulging this newbie.

There is another thread on here somewhere, where a guy used this distributor with success. It is not plug and play. Nothing for your engine will be plug and play, since you are getting rid of the original system on it.

If I remember correctly, your new distributor has the red wire for power, and the black wire for the coil negative. Your original coil + wire should be a white/lightblue stripe wire. Leave this connected to your original coil, but then strip some insulation back on this wire and tie in the red wire from the new distributor. This will power the coil and the new distributor.

The original coil should have a green wire on the negative terminal. Leave it connected to the coil and cut it back in the harness as far as you can so it can be spliced into the black wire from the new distributor. Make this splice, you are done besides timing the engine.

Thank you so much for the detailed reply. I really appreciate your time and help!

Hey all. I'm also not able to find a duraspark for my 84' ranger so I'm very interested in the powerspark option. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this option?

I just ordered the "Powerspark Bosch Type Distributor for Ford Cologne V6 Engines" from Powerspark Ignition Ltd out of UK (https://simonbbc.com/ford-cologne-v6-bosch-type-distributor/).

I ordered the "High Energy" version and confirmed with them via email that the Summit Racing SUM-G5214 ignition coil will work for my conversion, which is going into '85 Bronco II. I'm going to try my hand at a custom harness once I tear into this.

I appreciate guidance and feedback from the forum (especially franklin2).

Can anyone confirm what comes on the distributor from Simonbbc/Powerspark? Does it have the cap, cap adapter, and rotor and is ready to wire up and drop in? I’ve messaged them but haven’t heard back.

By cap adapter are you thinking about the Ford setup? This distributor uses a different cap with no adapter. It says it's plug and play, but I have never ordered one. If you tell these people what you are doing they will probably back off and not confirm anything. This distributor is made to replace some old points setup in some sort of European version of the cologne v6. But it does drop in the later computer controlled ranger pickups with a little re-wiring.

Yes, I have an 85 bronco 2 I’d like to convert. I was thinking of trying to use this distributor with a duraspark or gm hei icm and see if it would work. From what I’ve seen it’s pretty pointless to try and locate a Cardone distributor for the conversion so just trying to exhaust all options.

You do not need another control module like the DSII or the HEI module. This distributor has the module made inside it. Think of it like a pertronix module that replaces the points in a old style points distributor.
