Distributor is stuck??

I am replacing the head gaskets and in the process of putting the engine back together I put the distributor in before the fuel rail. Now I can not get it out it turns when I crank the engine but somehow it is jammed in there and won’t budge. Any suggestions?

Pull harder. Sometimes it helps to walk the housing back and forth like you are setting time, while you pull on it.
