disciplerocks's B2 build thread

I think hes saying they basically only hire people who know nothing about vehicle. which i completely agree with. but there is always one that usually knows a fair amount.

My point was he said that then mentions that he worked there.

Every AutoZone I go to, there is someone there that knows what he is doing and knows where the part is exactly at, if it needs to be ordered or if its in stock and usually knows how long it will take to get it if it needs ordering...its me

ive got the autozone app on my phone....i look up everything before i walk in...

though the only reason i even go to autozone is because i could literly almost hit one with a rock standing behind my garage....but i can also see an orielly's and advanced auto from back there too.

I prefer AutoZone for a couple reasons, I worked there in 95, which means I know there system, and they were around before advance auto and oreilly's existed....I went to AA for some brake shoes, and didn't like the compound they were made of, not to mention at least half of the stuff I priced was more than AZ...Oreilly, some of their stuff is outrageously priced...My uncle is a manager at one, and with his 20% discount on some stuff is more than what full price is at AZ...and I get a 10% discount at AZ...

Got her all back together. Need to bleed the brakes, refill the front diff, and align it.

Guy also came back and bought the transmission. And that paid for my tires.

Sweet!! Wish I could have sold my motor and trans from when I did my swap...And I need tires!!

I was in the market for a 4.0 when you did yours.

Well, the motor was in good shape, but my harness and ECU wouldn't have mated up to yours and would have taken a lot of splicing...The trans was slipping, so while it may have been salvageable, it wasn't worth it to me since this was SVT's 3d trans...So I wanted a stronger trans to begin with. If the trans wouldn't have started slipping then, it would have shortly after cause I was plannning to twin turbo the 4.0L, which I have everything I need except the plumbing...So now the plan is to TT the 5.0L, but I need to get another turbo (I have 4, but one is needing parts) since my 2 are going on my towrig/DD (FordZilla), and I would need 2 for SVT, unless I come across a HX35 or similar for SVT....I like the idea of twins though cause I can keep the turbo's small so the lagtime is kept at a minimum for trail use...I don't need high rpm boost for my application and driving habits with SVT as he is not a drag truck....

I have been throwing around the idea of picking up an M90 for the 4.0 myself.

I had the same thought, only they don't make a roots type charger for the 302, so I had the thought of making a custom intake that would mount the blower from an 03 cobra onto the 302...Now if only I could find one in the junkyard :icon_confused:

Ha good luck with that. I would have to fab a manifold for mine. At least you have the advantage of being OBD-II.

Plus I need to get better gearing before anything like that.
