disciplerocks's B2 build thread

Do the knuckles and your BII will be basiclly bullet proof for what you use it for.

If I went full d44, I would have to buy new gears and locker. Not in the budget right now.

has the d35 really gave you problems? how often? will it benefit you enough to pay for the d44 knuckles?

I did the knuckle swap and saw almost no benefit

I would just do the knuckle swap for the bigger brakes and the ability to use Stage 8 spindle locks....I think I busted 3 hubs due to spindle nuts backing off.....

Just do te BJ's, I swapped one side on the ranger in about 2 hours from driving it in to driving it out.

all depends on how much you really want the 44 knuckles.. i did all 4 ball joints in my ranger in like an hr an a half. granted i had a hoist and full shop but still...

Yeah I'll probably just do the ball joints. Or maybe I'll swap on the knuckles from my old axle thats sitting in the garage with brand new ball joints on it.

the d35 sucks ass depending on what your running....very very maintenance intensive with bigger tires and power if you run alot of miles.

with sensible tires they rock.

I picked some ball joints up today. Gonna try something a bit different. I'll let you all know if it works out.

Also finally got some garage time in finally. Checked the compression on the Focus and as I thought, cylinder 1 is low. Time to get moving on my head swap.

Also disassembled the doubler, fixed the 4lo issue, and swapped in 1354 shift fork and sun gear so I can use the 6 gear planetary set.

And I pulled the winch out of the box to have a look. Makes my 3k look puny.

How well did the 3000lb winch work and did it ever really fail to get you out of a situation?

The only tim I used it was on the flop. Used it to keep me from rolling down the hill while getting flipped from the other direction
