This build thread is proof that nobody can just do a few simple mods to their vehicle, because one mod leads to another that just makes the vehicle that much better to have fun with.

I was going to keep the frame, but I liked Jon's so much I just went crazy with the cutoff wheel.

So in all, how long did it take you to swap the 4.0L ?

Including the 3 days of waiting for the clutch line to come in, 8 days to get it driveable.

4 days from pulling the 2.9 to having the 4.0 running.

Now the next question is, how do you keep the weather out of it? Dont you need mirrors to stay legal or am I jumping ahead again?

I wont have it on in the rain. And if I get shit for not having a mirrior, I'll add one, but probably make it removeable.

I don't know about IN, but in IL you're required to have one reward facing mirror, so the rear view fulfuills that requirement.

In Indiana I heard you have to at the number of mirrors it came with from the factory on it I.E. I had a car that only had one from the factory so thats all it had to have, but if you do get sh!t about it just say that you just took it on a test drive after doing some mods to it.

And yeah thats the law here. If it came with 3 mirrors, you are suppossed to have all of them. I'm not too worried about it.
