disc vs drum impact on ebrake cable

hey yall,
ive got a 2010 mazda b4000, which for all practical purposes is a ford ranger 4.0l 4x4. especially for parts, as mazda has discontinued making parts for this truck.
it has rear disc brakes, from the factory, and i am fixing the seized parking brake. turns out everything up to the pedal mechanism is rusty and siezed. now im looking at cables, and im having a difficult time determining if the disc brake variety has variation in cable length from the drum brake version; and if so, what i need to get.
its been difficult to find any info on rear disc brakes in general on these trucks, mostly im finding info on conversions.
does anyone have insight on this?
 
If your truck is a '10 B4000, it is a unicorn: Mazda only officially sold 10.

Yes, the parking brake cables are different for the back portion cables (the front and intermediate are the same), and the right is longer than the left (although you could probably make 2 rights work..)

Good luck finding them - They seem to be rare even for the Rangers (again only '10-11 have the discs stock from Ford).
 
Cables appear to be different between drum and disc, and it isn;t jsut length, but all ends and attachemnts points. There may be a few small parts (clips, pins, etc) that are common, but most of them are going to be different as well.

Rangers got factory rear discs in 2010, and they only had rear discs for '10 and '11. If you buy parts for those two years, they should be the correct parts.

I'm not familiar with what don4331 mentioned about the Mazda production, but if your truck has rear discs it will be the same parts as the Ranger. Also not sure about the rare comment for Rangers. Rear discs might be rare amongst the full production run of 83-11 Rangers, but hardly rare for 10-11 models. All Ranger production in 10 & 11 had rear discs.

Ford parts sites still seem to list all of the parts for these (and carry most of them), even if you don't want to buy there, you can use the part numbers listed to find compatable aftermarket replacement parts.

it is definitely a 2010 mazda b4000. just my luck. and explains why finding parts for this thing is a continual nightmare.
i  can probably reuse the rears, if i can get them out intact. its the intermediates that are truly screwed. and the strange connector adapter between the front and intermediates, havent seen anything that looks similar in the rock auto parts so far. unless it comes with, but isn't shown..
are there any other vehicles that run the same ebrake cable hardware as the 10-11' rear disc rangers?
