anyone guess why my front brakes are dusting so badly. I have not checked the condition of the rear drums.

You bought cheap pads....

and why it happens so quickly from the last time you clean your wheels?
Quite possibly because your self adjusters arnt doing their job adjusting your rear brakes.

Coast more before stopping also helps with the dust, and saves gas.

What do you mean?

Buy a set of higher grade pads, such as bendix or wagner. Not the parts store brand $20 set. Be sure to grease your slide pins and all contact points to prevent seizing.

Inspect your rear brakes and replace whatever necessary, including shoes, springs (hardware), wheel cylinders, and self adjuster assemblies.

some of the best pads are also the dirtiest.

the pads that don't dirty up the wheels NEVER stop as well as pads that make your truck STOP as a first priority.

"Clean wheels" are something that Acura owners should worry about.

Dirty wheels? I'll worry about it when I worry about dirty truck...

Frankly, I haven't intentionally washed my truck since Clinton was president....

Were not talking about Hawk or EBC Allan... But I do agree, performance pads do tend to create more dust.

The cheapest set from the parts store will too, but without the increase in performance. ;missingteeth;

I'd run EBC Reds if I could afford them, but meanwhile I'll run the stock Bosch pads that were one of the factory suppliers (Bendix is the other) from 1995-02 or 03

And frankly don't know if they are "dirty" I can't recalling having intentionally looked...

Same, I usually go with Motorcraft when possible.
