I have a 2004 Edge 4X4, 4.0 six cylinder automatic. Does anyone know if they came stock with a limited slip differential or a locking differential?? If limited slip, what would I need to do to make it locking? (which i assume is the same as posi-traction?)

Ford's like all the other auto makers, if they can charge you extra for something, then no way will they make it stock. hope you got lucky.
My best guess is your have a limited slip. Unless you ended up with some fleet vehicle or specal model. If it is limited slip say thank you to the car gods that you didn't get an open diff.
