They list a different kit for the 2nd and 3rd gen thru 1996 trucks. The 1st gen and 1997 trucks use a different kit. Does anybody know why this would be different? Would I be fine if I bought a used lift kit that was for a 1997? I wanna know for sure before I try to buy a kit.

I was just also offered a lift kit from a 4wd truck, what could I use off the 4wd lift kit? I'd assume coil springs, lift blocks/leaf springs, shocks. But can the pitman arm be used? I know I would need different brackets and sway bar drop brackets but am just wondering about the pitman arm.

Are you saying the 1st gen, and 1997 trucks use 1 kit, and 2nd/3rd gen to 96 use a different one?

Im a 4x4 guy, but my understanding was its the same shit from 83 to 97.

From the part numbers, yes. I thought they were all the same too. But I guess Pro Comp must have made something different for the second and third gens.

Im still confused as to what exactly you are saying...

The 1st gen and 97 truck share the same part, while 89-96 are another???

93-97 are the exact same trucks damn near, as far as I am aware.

Your asking the difference in the K4124B and K4126B? And K4122B under the '97? That is a good question. Tried seeing if skyjacker kits differed for a 2wd from 93 to 97 and they are the same kits so not sure what pro comp has going on over there.

Yeah. Something like what this guy is saying.
