What's the difference between 3rd gen 2wd and 4wd lift kits? I ALWAYS see 4x4 kits for sale locally but never any 2wd ones, so I was thinking perhaps I would pick up a 4x4 one if there isn't really a difference.

2wd use new spindles and springs and 4wd bigger springs and bracket you dont have spindles with 4wd
i am pretty sure thats it if i am wrong someone will correct me hope this helps

this is what you need

im not sure the difference but myranger sounds about right. i talked to someone at james duff about the dual shock gets they have and they said you can use the 4wd one for a 2wd just fine and it would actually lift it an inch. so im guessing they are somewhat similar just from that.

Huh, misinformation eh? gotta love it.

Spacers and leveling kits will interchange, but the front TTB/TIB crossmember isn't the same so the actual lift kit pivot brackets are different between 2wd and 4wd.

I know of a 2wd SkyJacker ClassII 6" brand new in the box for sale....but don't expect it dirt cheap....

yeah i didnt really understand it. it just replaces the stock coil bucket and shock mount though, so who the hell knows.

The dual shock kit/coil tower should be interchangeable, but the beam pivot brackets are what are different between the lift kits.

I don't have the money right now, I don't plan on building the truck until I am SURE that I'm not selling it soon and of course after winter disappears.
