well i think i'm going to need to replace my fuel sending unit soon. my truck is a 98 ext cab with a 4.0 OHV, 4x4, 5r55e. i appears that the only sending unit i can get is with the whole assembly and it's somewhere around $300
i found out that 96 ranger, ext cab, 4.0 OHV, has a replacement sending unit only. and it's about $90.
my question is, what's the difference between the fuel pump units between these trucks, and possibly the difference between the tanks? i'm wondering if there's any chance they are compatable??

thanks

just looked in LMC catalog and it looks like it changes in 98. 90-97 are the same, but it doesnt even show the 98 and up sending units. so unlesss you can compare them side by side and they are the same looks like your SOL
