i have a new one for my 93 4.0 4wd, but the 91 3.0 2wd needs a new clutch slave. parts store says they're differant (and $10-15 cheaper for the 3.0).

if they are basicly the same tranny then what's the deal? overall length? i figure the shafts are the same. only the distance from the tranny to the clutch is probibly differant. and if so could i maybe just get away with just swapping in the old spring on the new slave?

ok called the same parts store today (autozone) and now they said they don't carry the clutch slave anymore  not right. so i went there and had them look it up. well, what do you know, they carry them and have one in stock ($86). dumbasses.
now a few weeks ago they told me that the 93 4.0 and 91 3.0 clutch slaves were differant, but now they're saying it's the same part. i really don't like the idea of pulling the 4.0 tranny to possibly find out that they are differant.

anybody got 2cts of opinion?
