I'm looking at getting a 2010 Ranger 2X4, 2.3L I-4 and 5 speed manual. On the standard cab the window sticker shows an estimated MPG of 22 city and 27 highway.

I asked what the MPG was for the extra-cab model and the salesman said the MPG is given as the same for both the standard and extra cab.

How accurate is the MPG as compared to the window sticker? Does anybody have a MPG for the extra cab version.

Looking to get something with GOOD MPG as the 90 Ranger 4X4 with the V-6 and a shell doesn't do that well.

Thanks for any info.

if memory serves correct deduct 1 for extra cab, and deduct 1 - 2 for four wheel drive.
And of course there are variables like driving style, gear ratios, are you keeping her maintained.
