False...We're controlling PSI the injectors are running, or are you running a HEUI engine?

yeah, should have made it clear. both me and strokerpuller run HEUI. a CR tuning does boost rail pressure but timing and pulse width are also a big factor. mechanical p/ve-pumped motors dont deal with this at all.

Garrett

Not always. Depending on how deep your getting into the throttle, and dropping the clutch or not keeping the sweet spot when going up a hill and drowning it.

Yes thats true but that has to do with driver in put. If you dive it normal you will see the increase. You can make a stock truck get horrible mileage by beating on it.:icon_thumby:

yup, just what stroker said. if you want to take that into consideration then lets also talk about how i can get a different MPG that you can, both driving the exact same, stock vehicle.

Garrett

I know your running HEUI gees guys same team haha. True stroker should made me self more clear the more CC's of fuel while dropping the clutch with low boost, will use a bit more fuel than a stock truck doing the same thing but yes your right its based on the driver:icon_thumby:

is this really an argument?

for sure....my father in laws 05 6.0 was alot harder on fuel then their 03 d max which was always fawing up...18 was about it at 70 mph with stock everything, or the sct turned on economy...ONLY BECAUSE the fuggers need .5 od for cruising unloaded which most trucks do most of the time.

i know of a tuned 6.0 van with a add on od that runs 23 mpg or better at 75-80 mph. this was done because the sprinter the guy had before was always in the shop for stupid shit and expediters need thier shit on the road. with the add on od the trucks ended up about the same costs, even with its problems i was interested in the sprinter but my wife told me she would shove the sprinter up my ass before she would drive it:dunno:.

the 6.0 vans engine caught fire and burnt it down, but aside from that it never had issues....:icon_rofl:...and now this same expediter has a chevy van with a d max. last i knew he is still full of glee with that thing.:headbang:

this isnt much to do with the op, but all of these rigs had oem exaust systems. the 03 has aftermarket now and actually picked up mpg cruising from mi to fla but its around town was down before that after its warranty engine was installed.

Thats common knowledge though, you stated there was no such thing as CR tuning basically.

Yes depending on what year, make, engine, electronic or mechanical makes the diffrence on what you have to do to tune the motor. There is a lot of skill involved in getting each setup to work thier best.

a 6.0 that did 23MPG? you're kidding right? was that from the overhead gauge?

Garrett

yeah. thats a big issue as well, ability to make such drastic power changes with the same engine to max economy at will above any gasser no matter what exaust your running.

what? do you need to add some punctuation? i didnt understand that.

no thats 3.55 gears 235 85 tires and add on overdrive in a extended 1 ton ford van running loads from michigan to the panhandle/texas.

my 7.3 has been able to pull 21 with the stock trans and 3.55 gears with 235 85 tires at 65 mph with the ladder racks off of it, if i go over 65, mpg goes down. 75 turns 17.

sorry.

i mean to say, you can add 100 hp and 100 tq to a modern diesel without getting dirty.

Pretty much you did!

um, no i did not. can you not read? lets see it again.

"a CR tuning does boost rail pressure but timing and pulse width are also a big factor."

so i stated three main things for CR tuning. rail pressure, timing, and pulse width. there are a lot of factors that come into play when doing CR tuning but no where did i say that. "you stated there was no such thing as CR tuning basically." you need to reread it AGAIN and try to put it together as a sentence.
