i have a 94 with a 2.3..... i was driving down the road and it just quit on me... i have spark and it turns over just fine i took the little cap of the bleeder thing on the fuel rail and nothing came out... does this mean fuel pump or something else?

you have to push the stem, the cap is just to keep the dirt out. It's like a tire valve stem. might check your fuses and relays, maybe the inertia switch.

alright thanks.... it was dark so i couldnt really see lol

change the fuel filter first much cheaper and easier than the pump.for 7 dollars i change mine every year

does it have gas in it?
I thought mine was full when it stalled, three days later and a fuel pump swap come to find out my gauge was bsuted and it was just empty

i just filled it up the sme day it died.... and i am geting fuel to so i dont know now i am lost....

you've got fuel and spark.... maybe a restriction in the airbox. or it could be you're not getting enough fuel, when you push in on the shrader valve fuel should literally spray out like 2 feet high. if it's just dribbling you've got fuel problems. You should really try to get a guage and see what the pressure is if you haven't allready.

Also take a look to make sure your timing belt is still intact.

Have you tried to start it with starting fluid?

If it starts, then it is a fuel delivery problem, if it doesn't, it's probably an ignition issue. (spark, plugs, timing etc)

The only other time one of my vehicles just quit on me was when my chip was piggyback to the ecu. It was loose and shorting it out. Did you do any work recently to the ecu? Maybe check your connections. Also ground wires etc.

the most common issue where the engine just dies while driving is the timing belt, spark is driven by the crank sensor, so you'll get spark whether or not the cam is turning... but it isn't going to run at all without that cam turning...

when i pressed the valve on the fuel rail it didnt squirt out it jus kinda over flowed.... i havent done any electrical work except on the stereo and i dont think that would efect anything.... as far as timing the belt is still there and looks to be in good shapeso i dont know....

try primeing the truck... just turn the key on but not to start. if fuel is just barely coming out, it's a problem. you can try changin the fuel filter if you don't get any pressure at the rail. otherwise i'd say it's a pump or regulator... probably the pump. you really need to get a gauge and get some pressure readings at the rail.
