died and wont start....

Beginning to sound like;

1. Timing belt-fairly easy to check, gently pull back the cover and see if its there.

or lack of fuel

2. Fuel Pressure Regulator-check pressure at the rail
3. Fuel pump-turn on key and see if you can hear the pump for the 2-3 seconds it primes
4. Fuel filter-don't know until you change it out.

By the way, can you use a regular air pressure guage to check the fuel pressure at the rail stem? I'm reading and learning.

if it was the filter wouldnt it have given warning or something before it just died... when i tun the key over i do hear the fuel pump humm but i think its nt getting enough fuel...

plugged injectors? I know my tank also hada buncha dirt and crap in the bottom that plugged up the llittle white screens in the fuel pump.

i had just ran a bottle of fuel injector cleaner through and a whole tank of gas and then i filled up drove about 15 miles and it just died... im pretty ure it is a fuel problem tho... when you cloged your fuel pump did it die or just run crappy?

ran crappy for hte most part, fuel injector cleaner wont really help the clogged pump tho. It was big thick shyt. Alot of gunk and gummy stuff, best thing to do it unbolt and jack the bed up. Lift the pump out and take a look at it. If its gummy then everything in your system will be the same way, most likely.

well i feel dumb now... got to akning a closer look at the timing belt and it was there and looked good but when i pulled on it it was snapped....
