did i mess up?

when i got my ranger it already had a 302 in it and the adapter to keep the 1354 m-shift in it. I put a new trans in it and had the adapter shaft swapped in it and reused that t case.

was i wrong to do that?

should i have went to a fullsize tcase instead?

and will it take the abuse of the 5.0? (its not built at all just stock)

While I don't know for sure I suspect the 1354 has a fighting chance.

The 1354 stands up to the 4.0 SOHC, which goes toe to toe with the 5.0 for power. As long as you aren't dumping the clutch I imagine you should be OK.
