Diagnostics Manual

Man....I feel your pain....I had enuff diagnostic manuals to start a bon-fire

(a four-barrel carb/intake solved the need for a fuel system diag. manual....an oldschool distributor solved the need for an Ignition Diag. manual....a timing light solved the need for an engine Diag. manual....a 700R4 with 1 hot wire & 1 ground wire solved the need for a Trans. diagnostic manual.....etc).

I realize everyone can't go that route...but that's why I install the oldschool stuff that has an endless supply of replacement parts.

I hope you solve your New School problems.....

Personally I really recommend the EVTM (electrical, vacuum, troubleshooting manual) manuals from Ford. Good info on wiring and vacuum systems with some diag options. Usually under $20 on ebay. Have them for all my Ford EFI vehicles... all seven of them. Just my opinion.

In fact those wiring diagrams look like directly from the EVTM manual.

Joe goes by this username all over the Ford Trucks internets: "Rockledge".

Google that name, find a forum that he is still active in and ask him!
He's a good guy, up in CT. I don't think he posts in here, but he used to be active on either Ranger Forums or RangerPowerSports. You'll probably find him on an F-150 site these days, if I recall correctly.

Or, you can send me a PM (click on my username) with your e-mail address and I can send you a large file of the 2000 EVTM. Might help. (I can't see your link at work) I CAN tell you there is nothing vacuum covered in the 2000 EVTM for PVH, other than the wiring to the Vacuum solenoid for the front hubs.

Bottom line, if your front drive shaft is turning and front wheels aren't, your PVH is bad. If the solenoid is opening and allowing vacuum to pulse and the hubs don't lock, the seals are bad. AVM or Rugged Ridge makes manual hub locks.

Might PM adsmo8 here in-house too. He has a premium series brain for these matters.:icon_thumby:
