Hi everyone. My 1993 ranger 4.0L is detonating between 2500 and 3000 rpm at light throttle. When I give it gas the load on the engine goes up and the computer retards the timing and it seems to go away but driving through the mountains this is frustrating. I thought maybe this was a timing chain issue so I changed it but the problem still exists. Is there any fix for this problem? Has anyone else experienced this?
