u keep it stock so it wont fall into ricer :icon_thumby:

It was a ricer surviver. When I got it it had silver flames on the doors and holes in the trucklid where there had been a spoiler. My gf at the time liked the flames so they stayed as long as she did and left shortly after we broke up... I never regretted it. I kept it stock because I was in college and it was my only set of dependable wheels. I pretty much just worked to pay for the insurance with a clean record, let alone any hop up parts. Plus I liked only hearing the turbo wind up and none of the four cylinder sound.

I sold it after I got my F-150, I do miss the 25mpg no matter what and about 30mpg if I babied it. It was a freaking riot to drive and it looked the part... it would be fun to still have it, I do sometimes question why I picked my Ranger for a project vehicle over it, it had a lot more going for it (it ran almost perfect and had very little rust with 170k miles, compared to a tempermental underpowered V-6 and a well used truck body) It had a ticking lifter when cold and if it idled for awhile it would smoke a little (likely leaking seals on the turbo), fix those issues and touch up where the clearcoat was starting to peel on the roof and it would have been a nice showcar/cruiser.

After I get the 302 in the Ranger I wouldn't mind picking up another, they are a pretty neat car inside and out IMO.

trucks are better lol
harder to fall into the rice pot with a truck :D

You still can, it won't really look like a ricer but will still function like one. Get all the chrome crap, jack it all the way up... saw it all the time when I lived in the city. They seem to usually have some little punk with a chip on his shoulder driving that thinks that it is a super great race car.

I fear them worse that a little car, they would hurt a lot worse when they got away from the little punk behind the wheel... and are more likely to get away thanks to their lack of anything resembling handling.

a ricer is someone who gets a CAI and a ugly muffler that sticks half way out the back of the car and you can see where the smoke has stained the paint over the muffler. and they have a HUGE tach with a shift light and they have some fugly rims and lower the car and drive it like its got a turbo and brag about their Vtec running you off the road and they TRY to push their car to its limits everyday. you can also rice out trucks which you can see with all the fake chrome and wide tires on some ugly rims and a loud exhasut and they drive the same way. its so amazing that in pulaski TN where my fiance used to live that the guys or teenagers like the wide tires and ugly rims on a truck or suv and they drive around like their S*** dont stink and around huntsville alabama we call those same trucks sorry if it afends anyone but beaner trucks. because all the mexicans like the look of it but where they are from its like a sand running or something like that so wide tires is ok for them cause you set your truck up to what your driving on but when you have white boys who do that and the nearest sand is about 10 hours aways its like wtf guys what are you thinking?!?!?! and like i said no offense to anyone who is mexican!!!!! its all in what you like and can afford at the time.

... Your dad's pissed, because there are coffee grounds in the kitchen sink and your new exhaust tip says 'Folgers' on the side.

I still love the time I had a ricer pull up next to me and start revving out someone... I was in my diesel and a side pipe. Revved it up just right to where it dumped the smoke out right into his open window... the smoke was still coming out by the next light.

There are only two cars that look righteous with a huge rear spoiler.

i agree those really worked and had a reason for beaing on those cars. the vato-zone wings dont really do anything, and even if they did it has no effect on a FWD car:icon_twisted:
