Well my front bumper is almost finished. Have a few more things to weld in. Couple gussets and the fog light trim (still have yet to get the holes burned out). The ends need to be plated on the top, smoothed out and primered and I need to drill/tap the holes for my license plate bolts, but until I get off my lazy butt and finish the front so I can bring both bumpers in to get bed linered, it will stay as it is for now. pics after I get it bolted back up and painted.

Post them pics, Bro!! don't forget...some people have got dead from a deer bouncing off that bumper into the Windshield!!! Just be careful!!! Don't go looking for deer...lol

And sometimes they jump at the last minute and touch nothing but the windshield.

The deer I hit spun off the bumper with minimal damage and messed up the back of the wheel well. My brother had one that did the same thing. Unless we had spikes on the bumper to hold the deer there the biggest badest bumper wouldn't have improved a thing over the factory bumper.

I dont plan on chasing any deer down, trust me. But its a little peace of mind knowing that its there. I had actually thought about welding some spikes on it but I doubt the state boys would think it's all too cool. I will eventually get some kind of bull bar bent up and weld that on which should help in the event one does come prancing out and leap. Gonna hop in the shower now and go run my errands... of which include some pics:headbang:

more like deer slayer, and frame horn tweaker

Well mister negativity, if your frame horns are already tweaked then it doesnt matter does it? haha. Long story short... Mukwa Mud Run.

Anyways, as promised... One of the pics is over exposed so you can see the detail in the bumper. The humidity here is messing with my camera so the pics suck. A D60 shouldn't take this bad of pics, my camera never has.

Next on the list, trans for my escort. Then I'll POR 15 the frame on my truck and I'd like to find a set of the newer style fender flares and paint them satin black like everything else. Then she's about done. I dont want to put any more money into it.

If I had access to some flat metal stock I would hit you up for a copy of that template. But it must wait for now. Looks amazing though, looked even better in person. I still think it needs a top plate that goes back underneath everything to help tie it in. just my .02

Top plate is 90% done as of today :icon_thumby: just have to do the ends where it goes under the fenders. It would have drove me nuts being open like that on the top. One thing I would have done differently is to build the bumper on the truck. I didnt want it to be down for a couple weeks so I built it on the garage floor and I now need to do a little 'tuning' on it to make it sit right on the truck. Oh well... at least I work in the right field to know what to do to fix it :icon_welder:

nice work man :icon_thumby::icon_welder:

Thanks!

good work. There wasn't any newer rangers with plate bumpers when I did mine 5+ years ago but here the last year or so there have been quite a few nice ones built.

I actually used yours to get some ideas brewing for mine. Mainly the front center plate, the first place your eyes go when you see a bumper like this. I dont think mine is anything special but it should function well when its done and it wouldnt be hard to put a winch behind.

looks great. iv been thinking about doing somthink like that to my 03.

They can fly too. Christmas is coming. I know some people who said they have leaped over their cars and tap danced on the roof and then disappeared into the night!!! lol

I'm pretty sure there's still beer dripping out of my nose after reading that... I laughed...... Hard. Haha!
