I have been prepping a B2 body to replace my B2. I found a really nice explorer with a blown tranny to use for a donor dash and harness.

My question is, do I go ahead with the B2 or take my lift and 5 speed and put it in the ex?

My kids are getting older, the 4 doors would be nice. The ex is really, really clean. Putting my lift and tranny in, shouldn't be that hard.

The B2 is stripped all the way down, I would need to pull dash, mount body and so forth. I really love the B2's .

So, throw out some opinions....

Run the ex, and build the B2 for DD....

^^^ I agree..... if the kids are more likely to be with you when out 4x4ing than when doing DD duties.
It used to be that I didn't like 4door anything, but with age and wisdom [rofl] I've gone the other way.

I still have my 92 F150 for DD duty, and my wifes 12 f150. I may build the ex with my B2 parts and hold on to the extra b2 stuff til needed.

Its a really clean 92. I have an extra auto to throw in it. It needs a fuel pump too. I can throw my lift and tires on it, and be ready to roll.

I'm leaning more towards this, i just hate to throw away all the work I did to the B2 body prepping it for my frame.

you might even be able to recoup some of that money by selling the body of the B2 to one of the TRS members near you... I agree, the Ex will be much easier for you and the kids to get in and out of.
