Building a prerunner but not sure what to go with on the rear the front is gonna be camburg equal length beams coilover the truck with be a daily driver so around town and freeway speeds any info on both set ups will be great

my personal opinion would be to go 4 link of you got the money. i got out of the prerunner scene a few years ago, but thats how i always planned my builds. deavers are great, especially if its a daily driver. but for the amount of money youre about to throw into your front end, it would be ashame for the rear end to limit the trucks off road ability. plus, if you got the balls, you can three wheel in mall parking lots hahaha jk

go with the deaver f 31 pack. you just need to swap the stock leaf pack for the deavers. thats it your done.

if you really want to do a 3/4 link set up call up giant. talk to them about there daily driver link system. you get the travel of a link set up and you retain most of your stock equipment. like fuel tank, bed space, and frame.

i also have a set of f 31 im willing to sell.

If you have to ask, leaf springs. If you don't know the differences between the two links aren't for you. Look into the giant 64 spring kit.

Ya Ive done some research and I think 4 link maybe the way to go on it because the truck currently is far from stock as it is and I don't wanna be limited cuz it's gonna run paddles as well

dont be like some who go 5+ up front and stock 7.5 open in the rear haha. make the rear just as good, if not better than the front. if not, your ass end will be all over the place through deep whoops.

paddles? how much horsepower you pushin? paddles on anything less than a 302 will just sink

I agree, if you don't know the difference, go with leaf springs....If anything. The two are completely different and there is so much more involved with doing a 3 or 4 link set up including far more extensive cage work, more shocks, a stout rear axle, fab skill/knowledge, and money. If you’re looking to slap something on and go play and DD, leaf springs are your only option.

just curious, do you know the cost of 4 linking a truck?

was that question aimed toward me? hahaha i think i may know a thing or 2 about 4links.

you could be looking at up to 14k to have someone do ALL the work for you, depending on where you go. it all depends on how much of it can be done on your own. itll save you tons to have some fab skills or some good friends who are willing to help

it was aimed at the OP, sorry for not clarifying.

Ya I know how much a 4 link is gonna cost not my first one I've done my 4 link I did before was on my rock crawler cherokee money isn't an issue I have money and for the rear axle I'm gonna run the ford 9" camburg rear end and as for running paddles it has a 351w bored .060 over roller rocker set up running nitrouse oxide the ranger is set up for drag racing it has plenty power for paddles

might i suggest checking out these rear ends:

and hubs:

not knocking camburg, but for what it sounds like your ranger will be doing, camburg's smaller bearing hubs will be stressed. you're definitely going to want 40 spline axles as well.

if you're interested, give nate a call or email (714 524 1099 or info@blitzkriegoffroad.com) and say mac referred you (my last day working there was today). he'll be able to let you know exactly what you'll need, as well as give you a price that should be pretty close to camburg's but with beefier hubs.

Nice ill check them out and give them a call I've been looking at camburg suspesion kits front and rear any other that make a nice set up you would suggest

What year is your truck? 97 and older id really look into Threat Motorsports. He makes high quality parts at affordable prices. 98+ id look at blitzkrieg over camburg. Only one kit, but different bolt on front hub options so you could run a d35 for ranger bolt pattern, d44, or their 2" or 2.5 race hub for 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern
