On the Ranger, simply removing the rubber piece at the back of the hood can help. Did that to mine years ago. When it's idling, I can put my hand there and feel the heat escaping. Take that and the vents I have in it now, my under hood temps are well in check. The vents aon the Ranger have four slots. The carbon fiber ones on my Lightning and Mustang have five. I'm thinking about buying another set of the carbon ones,. All I have to do it just slightly lenghten the slots that are already thee to accept the longer parts.
