i got this idea and i've read alot of the forums on the topic on here. and i know bout the jc whitney conversions and from what i've read they,re not the best. what i,ve read that is good is to get a 97 or older F-250 or bigger axle. now my question is will the drive shaft bolt to it the same or will a converter need to be fabricated? and will the brake lines hook up the same?

THANKS IN ADVANCED

I am not sure if you have completed this project or not but I had the same Idea for a ranger with a 5.0 mustang and using an 8.8 axle off of an F150. This would allow you to use a ranger flange and still use the ranger drive shaft.
