Dash lights are coming on but I have no response from the front wheels. Just bought this truck. Its a 99 3.0 4wd. Not sure what's going on. Help me out guys. Browsed thread, but didn't see one on the lights coming on but the wheels not engaging.

Hubs aren't working. The light only tells you that the transfer case has been engaged, it doesn't know anything about the state of the front hubs.

Is it possibly the vacuum lines? I have read about that.

Vac lines, the seals in the hubs, your truck is almost 15 years old, any number of things could be wrong.

Check out the tech library, there is an article on modifying your hubs to work manually, kinda like a click-top pen.

this is the first electric shift truck I've ever owned. I'd much have manual shift and locking hubs.

All hubs are locking. It's just a matter of how they lock.

Like I said, take a look at the tech library, your existing hubs can be made to work manually. As for the E-shift, I agree, I would rather have manual stuff, but as long as it works just go with it. Save for/buy parts until it breaks and then swap it over once it stops working.

ADSM, what about the e-motor not working? Mine used to blink, and after cleaning the contacts, it got it to work again. But then again, that's blinking, and not a solid "on" in 4-Lo.

Vacuum hubs = :(

Thanks for the info guys.I hope its an inexspensive fix. If it is indeed the hubs, I may order the rugged the rugged ridge hubs advertised here and also replace the bearings while i'm in it. Are they any good?

Did some tezting and looking today. Tcase is engaging, front shaft is turning. So now is it 100% that I'm looking at a hub issue?

Finally got manual hubs in and they seemed to do the trick
