dangerranger1983 build

The only welding I had to do was for the track bar mounts (axle had a different one that wouldnt work with an OEM track bar) and the mounts for the long arms.

In other news had the rear exhaust mount break on me so got a metal coat hanger an 2 minutes later its fixed enough for me.

for some reason i cant get on TRS with my computer at my house but can on my phone. Anyways i do wanna say that my premium member sticker showed up yesturday but due to i cant get on here with my computer for some reason, no pics of it. i can still go to all the other websites i go to but this one.

Ok, got my sub and amp hooked up and they work great. Ill get pics and more details later when the wires are all put in casings and what not. I will say now I know what in my truck rattles, now I HAVE to tighten up everything on the inside.

Well the front passenger brake caliper has decided to act up on me. I either have brakes or dont, have to pump the brakes to get them to work most of the time and it wants to drag/lock up on me while driving so I have to park her to see whats wrong. I did find a peice of metal from something, whether it is from my truck or not havent got to look, between the brake pad and the rotor. Could be a simple as needing to bleed the brakes but since its the only caliper acting up, I think it has a huge problem. Waiting for my dad to get home so we can take a look at the problem.

Why does everything break (brake) when you just run a bit low on money........

Other then that runs a drives nicely have done almost 3000 miles since the SAS and all is holding up nicely.

Okay after further inspecting this is what I found.....

Still doesnt explain the brake problem other then they need bled or my master cylinder is going out on me. Brakes work randomly as in they need pumped sometimes and sometimes they dont. And if this side went out I can imagine how far the other one is from doing the same. Need to go buy the 36mm socket to get the axle apart from the bearing but will have to wait till tomorrow to do stuff. Will take 2 days to get it shipped at autozone so may look around at other stores.

when you did the d30 swap? how did you do a swap bar? or did you?

yeah my truck was eatin wheel bearing's for lunch. as far as the brake's is it possiable you had a caliper hangin up on the slide's? could cause poor brake's and brake's hanging up. I've also seen brake hoses come apart inside causing pressure to be trapped in the caliper causing the brake's to hang or not to engage. If it's only happening on one wheel I wouldnt think master or porportioning valve. ide be lookin from the tee on the front brake's to the wheel.

i take it you meant sway, and who need's stinkin sway bar's, pickin up a wheel is fun hahah

yeah yeah.. i've got axle SWAP on my mind. lol.. yeah but a sway bar on a b2 that high on the interstate might be nice... :thefinger:

yeah cuz drivin my truck in the wind feel's like your in a sail boat. when sittin still in high wind's you can feel the suspension moving

yeah i've gotta figure out a sway bar. might get a XJ one and try to fab it up somehow, or look at how mine is made compared to the axle..

I just used the stock sway bar but moved it forward about 3 inches or so. I custom made end links for it. Worked out great.

Nope no sway bar, the axle mounts for them were cut off when I got it.

As far as the bearings, I used the ones that came with the axle taking a chance and see how long they would last....3000 miles later and it blew up on me (and not knowing their history or how old they are). So I have to get up early and got to a few different parts stores and see who has it in stock along with finding the 36mm socket to take the nut off, and thats what I am most concerd to get off. Firt though get the old one off then take it to parts stores to match whats left of it to a new one to conferm that it is what I need, since I dont know the year of the axle, but assume that the years and models that had the bearing were the same.

As far as the caliper, it glided nicely on the bolts and the braking was effected to all the wheels and just one now since I discovered the true problem of why it was pulling to the right. My dad says that my master cylinder could be going out due to the problem first started out slowly then progressed over the last few weeks, but hopefully a brake bleed may solve it, the fluid in it looks nasty again and pumping it was how I could get good braking action.

And when I get this one fixed, the other side will be next as soon as I can aford to do it or when it decideds to give me the fingger and goes out before I can fix it too.

So much to do still and so little time and funds at the moment.
